Lauren - Executive Chef
I knew at a very young age that I wanted to be a chef. In the sixth grade, I was given the opportunity to cook at Apollo Career Center and never looked back. I would go on to eventually graduate from Apollo and Elida high school before continuing my education in culinary arts at Sullivan University in Louisville, Kentucky. As a lifelong Lima resident, I love being a part of the growth of this wonderful city. Here at The Met, it's also important to me to work in a place that treats their people as more than just employees but also fosters an atmosphere of family. As a chef, it means the world to me that I’ve found a home that believes in me and allows me the creativity and freedom to push the culinary limits of what we thought was possible here in Lima. When I’m not at The Met, you can usually find me spending time with my husband, Adam, and our two (very big) dogs!
